Indian students in France will now have access to an extended post-study work visa, as announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. France has chosen to offer a five-year long-term visa to those who undertake a master’s degree in the country, Modi explained.
The declaration was made on 17th July while the Prime Minister was addressing the Indian diaspora at La Seine Musicale in Paris.
The post-study work visa (PSW), known in some nations as the Graduate Route, is a period provided by the host nation to international students. The PSW gives these students the chance to conclude their education and then remain in the country for a few additional years (the exact duration being determined by the local government) to seek employment and acquire work experience.
However, it’s worth noting that most countries require students to apply for jobs that are related to their area of study, in which they’ve obtained their degree.
