What is CPT and how does it benefit students?

CPT stands for Curricular Practical Training. CPT status allows international students with an F-1 visa to gain work experience through off-campus, paid/unpaid internships or employment in a related field while they study.

How does CPT work at our partner universities?
CPT is an integral part of the programs and participation is required. CPT is authorized from day-1 for the duration of the program with no gaps or breaks.

Master of Business Adminstration (MBA-IT)
MBA-IT program is a 52-credit, 27 month, full-time hybrid program.
Each quarter (11 weeks) you will take two 4-credit courses
concurrently with a 2-week break between quarters. Courses will
have some mandatory face-to-face, in person learning. Total 52
credits; 8 credits per quarte; 3 quarters per year.
The quarter tuition is the same every quarter and must be paid in
full by the start of each quarter. The total program cost is $21,000.

  • One Recommendation letter
  • Proof of English proficiency
    • IELTS: 6.0 or higher
    • TOEFL: 18 on each of the four sections, or a cumulative score of 80 or higher
    • Duolingo: 105 or higher (a minimum score of 100 on the Production sub-score)
    • Pearson Test of English: 53 or higher
    • You can waive the English proficiency requirement if you have received a Bachelor’s degree from an U.S. institution with a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Bank Statement : Upload a bank statement showing $26,000 USD in financial support. Alternate documents include loans, credit card statements showing available credit, or sponsor bank statements with a signed/dated sponsorship letter.
  • Application deadlines
  • 2 weeks prior to program start dates for OPT students and F1 transfer students. 
  • 3 months prior to program start dates for holders of other visa types (such as H1B, H4, B, and L) who need a change of status.
