The Ministry of Education in India disclosed to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that roughly 1.3 million Indian students joined overseas higher educational institutions last year, with the majority choosing Canada (183,000) and then Australia (100,000).
Subhas Sarkar, the Minister of State for Education, presented data concerning the number of students registering in foreign universities or colleges. The information, sourced from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), was provided in response to a question posed in the Parliament’s upper house.
